About Paw
Having fed our own dogs a variety of dog food brands over the years and never being completely satisfied, we decided to do something about it – and that’s how Paw began.
We set out to create a complete dry food diet which was naturally nutritious and did not contain the bulking agents or canine irritants which are commonly found in other dog food brands – we wanted to make Superfood for Dogs!
Luckily, we had a few hungry canine family members who were only too willing to trial our recipes. They had very high standards and worked us hard, but we now have a number of tasty and healthy dog and vet-approved recipes on the Paw menu and available in our Superfood Shop.

Ingredients
Our Superfood for Dogs is made in our UK kitchen to veterinary-approved, tasty recipes using high quality, naturally nutritious ingredients.
You will have noticed that a lot of dog food products are labelled “Chicken & Rice” or “Lamb & Rice” – but when you study the ingredients on the back of the bag, you will often find that the main ingredient is rice – not the chicken or lamb that the label led you to believe…Furthermore, you will probably find that the chicken is actually dried poultry meal, or meat by-product meal.
Here at Paw, we do things a little differently.
We believe that meat should make up a larger proportion of your dog’s diet, just as it would have done naturally in the wild. So when we say “Chicken with Herbs” for example, rest assured that when you read the ingredients list, you will find that chicken is the main ingredient. We also believe that dogs should have fresh meat in their diets, not just dried meat meal. All of our recipes contain a minimum of 26% fresh meat and 50%+ meat content overall.
We also add vegetables, some fruits and a variety of vitamins, minerals and other supplements to ensure that every recipe is a complete diet for your dog. The only other thing you need to make available to your canine companion is fresh drinking water.

Our food is only available to order on our website; you will not find any Paw recipes on supermarket shelves or in pet shops.
It costs a lot more to make high quality food, so rather than have retailers add their profit margin making our food prohibitively expensive, we deliver directly to our customers so that more dogs can enjoy the benefits of eating Paw.
SUBSCRIPTION SERVICE
We have taken the hassle out of re-ordering your dog’s food by offering a subscription service. We ask you a few questions when you sign up, such as your dog’s age and weight, and our clever calculator determines how much food your dog needs, and how often we need to send you a new bag! Since you know your dog better than anyone, you will have complete control to speed up or delay deliveries and the click of a button in your online account.
We believe that consistency in your dog’s diet is important. Sudden changes can cause upset tummies and seriously disrupt your dog’s digestive system. If you are worried about running out, sign up for a Paw subscription and let us do the heavy lifting for you!
